Lancaster Sheriff's Station has seen a marked increase in "Street Robberies" that involve the theft of cell phones. During the recent interview of a robbery suspect, the suspect told the detective that "smart phones are a sure thing. " Cell phones are a "high dollar" item that are easily sold, pawned or traded for drugs by the suspects.
