Arson/Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested for Apartment Building Fire

On March 4, 2012, at approximately 0151 hours, a structure fire was reported at the indicated location. Upon arrival, Deputies observed two apartment units on fire. They immediately evacuated approximately fifty people from the apartment complex. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire and determined it was suspicious in nature. No injuries were reported. The structural damage was estimated at $300,000.00



The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Arson and Explosives Unit responded to handle the arson investigation. Throughout the investigation they were successful in identifying the person responsible for setting the fire and sought an arrest warrant.



On March 12, 2012, West Hollywood Station received information that the suspect was at a business in the West Hollywood area. Deputies responded and arrested the suspect without incident. The suspect was transported and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff's Station. Bail is set at $1,250,000.00
