Detectives Arrest Serial Burglar

B/T 5-12 and 10-12

Palmdale detectives from the Palmdale Station Burglary Suppression Unit, made an arrest on 10-25-12 of a suspect they believe is responsible for at least (21) commercial burglaries over the past (5) months.

Detectives identified Troy Webster after blood that was left at the scene of one of the burglaries was DNA tested. The suspect's image was also captured on a surveillance video, committing a burglary at another location. Conveniently enough, after detectives identified the suspect it was discovered he was currently in the Palmdale Station jail on an unrelated narcotics charge. Armed with the video and DNA evidence, detectives interviewed the suspect. The suspect confessed not only to the (2) burglaries but an additional (19) break-ins. The burglaries all occurred between May of 2012 and October. They occurred on Palmdale Blvd between 10th St W and 17th St E all in the late night hours. In most of the burglaries, the suspect would break through the front door and take whatever cash he could find in the businesses.

The suspect at the time of his arrest was on probation for burglary.
