Deputies Chevez and Anderson initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations. The deputies immediately recognized the driver as being on parole from past contacts. Upon searching the suspect's vehicle, they recovered several Ecstasy pills.
Upon searching the suspect incident to arrest, they recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun and 1100 Ecstasy pills from her purse. Deputies Chevez and Anderson later conducted a compliance search of the suspect's residence and recovered an additional 300 Ecstasy pills.
The suspect admitted to possessing the firearm and Ecstasy pills for sales. Deputies Chevez and Anderson are to be commended for a job well done.
Congratulations to the above deputies. Their self-initiated activity and outstanding work are excellent examples of South Los Angeles Stations tradition.
