On Saturday, April 20, 2013, South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station deputies attended the "Rock Around The Block Family Fun Day" at Juan de Anza Elementary School in the unincorporated area of Del Aire.
Deputies provided traffic control and security while the attendees walked through their neighborhood. Once the walk had concluded, parents and children were able to talk with deputies and take photographs while they sat in the police cars.
The event also had games and rides for the children. There was a silent auction, photo booth, dunk tank and a huge rock wall that children could climb. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was also in attendance with their fire truck that the children loved.
The event was well organized, and a "Fun Day" for all.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department would like to thank Harley Hoff from the Wiseburn Education Foundation for her professionalism and hospitality during the event.
