Detectives from South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station conducted three burglary investigations between July 2, 2013 and August 7, 2013 at LAX Crossfit, 11944 South La Cienega Boulevard, Hawthorne. The suspect stole over $600 and damaged over $1,000 in property.
During Detective Glynn's investigation, she was able to identify the suspect as Mason Bingham, 19 year old ex-employee. The identification was made by the collection of evidence at the scene of the crime.
On July 15, 2013, a wanted flyer was created and distributed to surrounding police agencies. In addition, Bingham's information was entered into the Los Angeles County warrant system. On August 14, 2013, detectives from the Hawthorne Police Department notified South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station detectives that they had Bingham on a separate grand theft charge. Bingham was interviewed by Detective Glynn and evidence was collected that showed Bingham committed the three burglaries.
The case was presented to the Inglewood Court District Attorney. Three burglary charges were filed.
