Lawndale Mayor Harold Hofmann Passes Away on November 16, 2013

The City of Lawndale and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, South Los Angeles Station/Lawndale Service Center, is saddened to announce the passing of Lawndale Mayor Harold Hofmann. Mayor Hofmann passed away peacefully at his Lawndale home of natural causes on November 16, 2013.

Mayor Hofmann who was 81-years-old, was proud to be a lifelong resident of the City of Lawndale. He was the Mayor of Lawndale for over 20 years, prior to that he was a City Councilmember for 10 years. He is survived by his wife Doris, their children and grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending.

In honor of Mayor Hofmann, all flags in the City of Lawndale will be flown at half-staff.
