On Tuesday, July 8, 2014, Lomita Surveillance and Apprehension Team (SAT) detectives arrested Anthony Trigo for a robbery he committed at the 99 Cents Only Store on June 30, 2014.
On June 30, 2014, Anthony Trigo went into the 99 Cents Only Store on PCH, loaded $200 worth of groceries into a cart and walked out of the store without paying. Another customer pointed out the theft to 99 Cents Only Store employees and they attempted to stop Trigo, but when they confronted him, he threatened them with bodily harm and got away. Shortly after the crime was committed, SAT detectives were able to identify Anthony Trigo as the culprit.
Trigo is a known petty thief. The detectives have also arrested Trigo in the past for Identity Theft. In that case, Trigo stole a person's California driver's license from his unlocked car and then subsequently used the victim's personal information to obtain goods and services.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's Office filed one count of robbery on Anthony Trigo (booking number #4026114), a resident of Lomita, and he is currently being held without bail at the Inmate Reception Center in downtown Los Angeles. He is due in Torrance Court on July 24, 2014, for his preliminary hearing.
