LASD Carson Station Gang Diversion Team Takes At-Risk Youth to LA Dodgers Game Outing

The Carson Sheriff's Station's Gang Diversion Team (GDT) recently took their youths on an incentive outing to an L.A. Dodgers game. For many of them, it was the first time experiencing a professional baseball game.







They were treated to dinner and snacks, reserved seats, and an opportunity to socialize with each other. The youths in the GDT program mingled with the Carson Station Explorers, who were able to serve as an example of responsible, respectful, and law abiding teens.







Good or improved behavior is rewarded with incentive outings which expose the youths to areas in Southern California that are a contrast from their daily neighborhood. This exposure motivates them to strive for a successful and beneficial future.
