Halloween Night

Avalon Sheriff's Station participated in the city's Halloween festivities by giving away candy to all the trick-or-treaters who stopped by our station. Our volunteer coordinator, Deputy Doug DeCesare, made all the arrangements. He was assisted by a cadre of dedicated station volunteers (Cheryl Allison, Earl Roof, Glen Gustafson, and Armida Ruth). The volunteers handed out more than 20 pounds of Halloween candy from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The volunteers seemingly enjoyed the event as much as the children as they were able to see some fantastic costumes and a lot of happy kids. Everyone had a great time! The event was so successful, our plan is to do this every year.
