Deputy Kenneth Ell was remembered after his tragic death on January 19, 1982. Deputy Ell was shot and killed during an assault investigation in the 1500 block of West 102nd Street, Lennox/South Los Angeles Station's area. On January 19, 2016, deputies at South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station wore their formal long sleeve uniforms with their ties, to remember Deputy Ell. Most of the current South Los Angeles Sheriff's Deputies did not know Deputy Ell, but they recognize the sacrifice he gave. Deputy Ell will never be forgotten. Photo: Lt. Hocking
