Deputy Rescues Ducklings

07/28/2017

During the month of April, Deputy Denver came across five ducklings that were about two days old. He found the ducklings near a park in the city of Diamond Bar. The ducklings were abandoned by their mother and local animals were harassing the baby ducks. The ducks were recovered for their protection. Animal control and several animal rescue facilities were contacted. No one was able to take the ducks.

Filled with compassion, Deputy Denver and his family took them home and began to provide for them. In June Deputy Denver brought the ducklings to Walnut station and had other personnel assist him in raising the ducks to maturity.

Out of the five ducklings rescued, four survived. One of the ducks has since flown off into the wild. The remaining ducks will be cared for till their wings fully develop and they also fly off to join their sibling.
