Parks Bureau Deputies Arrest a Texas Couple for Transportation of Marijuana for Sales Adjacent to Castaic Lake Park.

On April 3, 2013, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies from Parks Bureau stopped a female adult who was driving a vehicle on the roadway adjacent to Castaic Lake Park for a traffic violation.

During the traffic the deputies discovered that the male adult passenger of the vehicle was on probation in Texas for a narcotics violation. After further investigation it was determined that both suspects were in possession of four baggies which contained marijuana. The approximate weight of the marijuana was 4 pounds and the street value is $18,000.

Both the driver and passenger were immediately arrested and booked at Santa Clarita Station for Transportation of Marijuana for Sales. The deputies identified the suspects as Shaye Nicole Appleton a resident of Cleburne Texas and Adrian Dupree Anderson a resident of Crowley Texas.

Castaic Lake Park is located at 32132 Ridge Route Road Castaic.
