In a continuing effort to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Compton, Compton Station deputies help to reduce gang violence through proactive law enforcement in targeted gang areas.



On May 8, 2013, at approximately 8:30 am, the Compton Special Assignment Team & detective bureau conducted a parole compliance operation. During the operation a known criminal street gang member was arrested for being an ex-felon, gang member, illegally possessing a loaded assault rifle, possession of methamphetamine, 30 round magazine, and armor piercing ammo. The deputies also seized 2 additional long rifles.



The Compton deputies undoubtedly prevented further gang violence and increased the safety for the community we serve.
