On May 31, 2013, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich and Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Director Russ Guiney, gathered at the Castaic Sports Complex Aquatic Center in Castaic to dedicate the new center.
The $13 million facility features a 6,425-square-foot pool and a splash pad with an integrated recreation pool. The project consisted of construction of a new 12,500-square-foot building with changing rooms, showers, restrooms, staff offices and storage.
The entrance to the center is marked with "Bubbles" a civic art installation by visual artist Bob Zoell.
Castaic Sports Complex Aquatic Center is located at 31350 North Castaic Road, Castaic.
Also on hand at the dedication were Los Angeles County Sheriff's Personnel from Parks Bureau who provide law enforcement services for Castaic Sports Complex Aquatic Center, along with the 177 county parks, golf courses and special event venues throughout Los Angeles County.
