Man Arrested for Sexual Battery of a Teenage Youth Activities Coordinator at Obregon Park, 4021 E. First Street, Los Angeles
On July 2, 2013, a deputy from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department - Parks Bureau received a call regarding a male adult had sexually battered a Female Juvenile at the Park Pool. The deputy responded to Obregon Park and contacted the victim.
After further investigation the suspect who was still at the park was subsequently detained and identified as Jamie Fernandez, a male, 45 years old, and a resident of Los Angeles. Additional information revealed Mr. Fernandez had sexually battered the victim by grabbing her buttocks while she was in the pool.
Suspect Fernandez was arrested and booked at the Inmate Reception Center where he is currently held in lieu of a $20,000 bail.
