On August 6th, 2013 Cerritos Sheriff Station was recognized as the top performing station by the Contract Cities Association. The award was presented by Risk Management Bureau to Captain Keith Swensson. The award is based on the lack of crime, arrests, population, liability, and, most of all, the great work of dedicated personnel.
