2010
Overall crime, in the year 2011 has dropped from the previous year, in the areas patrolled by South Los Angeles Station. Homicides are down approximately 20% and aggravated assaults are down 22%. The main cause in these drops are due to Probation and 290 Compliance sweeps. Other crimes such as larceny, grand theft auto, arson, etc. are down largely because of proactive policing by patrol deputies, Operation Safe Street, TRAP operations, COPS and Summer Enforcement Teams.
