Parks Bureau Deputies Arrest Man for Possessing a Loaded Gun in City Terrace Park, 1126 N. Hazard Ave., Los Angeles (Photos) On August 13, 2013, at 11:30 pm, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies from Parks Bureau stopped a male adult who was walking into City Terrace Park to warn and advise him regarding park hours. During the contact the deputies discovered that the male adult was in possession of a loaded .40 caliber Springfield firearm. The suspect was immediately arrested and booked at East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station for possession of a concealed loaded firearm. The deputies identified the suspect as Christopher Edward Barrera 23 years old, a resident of Los Angeles. City Terrace Park hours of operations are from Sunrise to Sunset. Offenses such as possession of loaded firearms are rare in the Los Angeles County Parks. But when they do arise, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Parks Bureau is dedicated to providing a safe and gun free environment at all Los Angeles County Parks.
