Robbery Suspect Caught With Hat In Hand by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Parks Bureau Deputies at El Cariso Community Regional Park, 13100 Hubbard Street, Sylmar

On August 28, 2013, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Parks Bureau Deputies were at El Cariso Community Regional Park , on patrol when they were flagged down by a park patron. The patron said he was in the park restroom when the suspect a male Hispanic adult approached him, started choking him and yelling, "Give me your hat." The victim a male Hispanic adult was able to push the suspect back away from him. The suspect grabbed the victim's hat and ran out of the restroom.



The victim pointed out the suspect who was sitting in the park. After further investigation, deputies detained the suspect identified as David Peralta Servantes, a male Hispanic 32 year old, resident of Arleta. The victim's hat was also recovered at the scene.



Suspect Servantes was arrested for robbery and booked at the Inmate Reception Center where he is currently held in lieu of a $100,000 bail.
