Detectives Nab Tagger for Felony Vandalism in Saybrook Park
On Wednesday May 2, 2012, at 2:10 PM, Parks Bureau Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were conducting a surveillance operation at Saybrook Park. This operation was in response to acts of graffiti performed at the park over the past two months. During the operation, detectives observed a male Hispanic suspect enter the park dressed in very heavy, dark clothing. The detectives detained suspect Francisco Contreras who is 19 years old and resides in Los Angeles. Based on the preliminary investigation, he was arrested for felony vandalism and booked at East Los Angeles Sheriff's Station.
Saybrook Park is located at 6250 East Northside Dr, Los Angeles 90022.
Tagging or graffiti on county buildings with spray paint or markers is a crime. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Departments Parks Bureau is dedicated to providing a safe and graffiti free environment at all Los Angeles County Parks.
