Parks Bureau Detectives arrest iPad Burglar
Parks Bureau detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigated the burglary of the "Pro Shop" at the La Mirada Golf Course located at 15501 East Alicante Road, La Mirada which occurred on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. An ipad and golf equipment valued over a thousand dollars were found to be missing with no signs of a break-in. The golf course supervisor checked the security camera video that presented images of the suspect stealing the items during business hours.
Parks Bureau detectives utilized the images of the possible suspect and created a bulletin and distributed it to local law enforcement personnel and the public. After further investigation the suspect was identified as Frank Ruelas, a male, 26 years old, who is a resident in La Mirada.
On October 21, 2013, the suspect was arrested at his residence for Burglary and booked at Norwalk Sheriff's Station where he is being held on a $20,000 bail.
