Parks Bureau Arrest Three Adults Implicated in at Least Nine Burglaries from the Castiac Area



Parks Bureau deputies assigned to the Special Problems Team were working in the area around Castaic Lake on Monday, January 6, 2014, when they contacted a person in the parking lot of the Castaic Inn (31411 Ridge Route Road, Castaic) for a minor traffic violation. When information provided to the deputies by the driver didn't add up, this minor traffic violation ultimately turned into the recovery of a considerable amount of stolen property and resulted in the arrest of three people. The deputies found and recovered property in possession of the adults that had names and information other than theirs. They contacted some of those individuals and found they had been victims of burglaries. Special Problems Team deputies contacted detectives from Santa Clarita Sheriff Station who said the individuals arrested could be implicated in at least nine burglaries committed in the Castaic area. Angelique Mair, Female, 43 years of age, resident of Culver City; Alexus Mair, Female, 20 years of age, resident of Culver City; and Robert Thewes, Male, 46 years of age and resident of Los Angeles were placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Receiving Stolen Property. The Suspects were booked at the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station. Alexus Mair is being held in lieu of $20,000.00 bail, Robert Thewes is being held in lieu of $10,000.00 bail and Angelique Mair has No Bail due to a Parole Hold. The investigation will be handled by detectives from the Santa Clarita Sheriff Station and the Commercial Crimes Bureau. - See more at:
