Detective’s quick thinking resulted in an arrest for armed robbery.
In March of 2014, Detective Raymond Munoz, assigned to night investigations, received notice of an armed robbery which occurred at a local flower shop located in the city of Compton. He responded to the location and interviewed the victim/owner. He also viewed video surveillance of the incident. The scope of the investigation led detectives to a suspected boarding care facility where they made contact with the suspect. He ultimately confessed to committing the crime. A subsequent search warrant was authored, which yielded the recovery of a replica handgun, which was used during the robbery. They are commended for their dedication and commitment to excellence.
As a result of this investigation, commendations are being written for Detectives, R. Munoz, J. London, M. Allen and J. Cruz.
