On Thursday, April 10, 2014, The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in conjunction with LAC+USC Violence Intervention Program hosted the grand opening of the Youth Welcome Center. The Youth Welcome Center will provide services relating to medical, forensic, mental health, crisis intervention, educational enrichment, support and advocacy services for children in foster care and victims of child abuse and neglect. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department personnel from LAC+USC Medical Center worked with the Violence Intervention program and DCFS to ensure the grand opening was a memorable event for everyone in attendance.
