On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to introduce the new MLK Jr. Outpatient Center, slated to open in June 2014. The MC was Marc Brown, Channel 7 ABC News.
The ceremony was for local residents and area dignitaries. The Outpatient Center is the first phase of a new Health Care Village that will serve local residents using the current Martin Luther King Jr. Ambulatory Care Center (MACC). The turnout was over 400 guests under a perfect spring day.
