Parks Bureau Detectives Attempt to Identify Strong- Arm Robbery Suspect at Ted Watkins Park, Los Angeles



Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) Parks Bureau are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect who is wanted for a strong-armed robbery that occurred at Ted Watkins Memorial Park, 1335 East 103rd Street, Los Angeles. On Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at approximately 6:45 p.m., the suspect approached the victim and her friends at the park and introduced himself as "Dion." A few minutes into their conversation, the suspect snatched the victim's cell phone out of her hand and ran south towards 103rd Street. The suspect yelled, "Bounty Hunters, never empty!" before driving away in a silver, four door sedan with sunroof (possibly Mercedes Benz). The suspect, who is described as a male, Black adult, 5'9", 140 lbs and between the ages of 18-25 years, has a small afro, acne on his lower facial area, and square gold tone earrings in each ear.
