Parks Bureau Deputies Arrest One Adult for Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales Adjacent to William S. Hart Park, Newhall

On June 17, 2014, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies from Parks Bureau Special Problems Team stopped a male adult who was driving a vehicle on the roadway adjacent to William S. Hart Park for a traffic violation.
During the traffic stop, deputies discovered two baggies of methamphetamine and one digital scale in the suspect's vehicle. The suspect was identified as Juan Gonzalez Jr., a male Hispanic, 29 years old, a resident of Newhall, and known gang member.
In furtherance of the narcotic investigation, the deputies went to his residence in Newhall. While there, the deputies completed a search the residence. It was then they discovered an unregistered loaded 12 gauge shotgun and a wallet containing credit cards not belonging to the suspect.
The suspect was arrested and booked at Santa Clarita Station for Addict in Possession of a firearm, Possession for sales of Methamphetamine, Receiving Stolen Property, and Driving on a suspended License, with a bail of $35,000.
William S. Hart Park is located at 24151 Newhall Ave, Newhall.
