Parks Bureau Detectives arrest Strong Armed Robber
Parks Bureau Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigated a strong armed robbery that occurred on May 28, 2014, at Ted Watkins Memorial Park (1335 East 103rd Street, Los Angeles). A "Samsung Galaxy S4" smart phone valued at $660.00 was taken during the robbery.
In furtherance of the investigation, Parks Bureau Detectives utilized the images of the suspect who was identified by the victim and created a bulletin and distributed it to local law enforcement personnel and the public. The suspect was identified as Deion Jaymar Malone, male, black, 21 years of age a resident of Los Angeles.
On July 2, 2014, a search warrant was served by Parks Bureau deputies at Deion Jaymar Malone's residence where he was taken into custody for Robbery. He was transported and booked at South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station where he is being held on a $50,000 bail.
