The LASD application, background, and hiring process has been modified to find and hire the best candidates as quickly as possible. There are currently hundreds of open positions, and LASD intends to hire at least 600 deputies this year.
Job Requirements:
- 19 1/2 years of age
- U.S. High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- U.S. Citizen or permanent aliens who are eligible and have applied for citizenship
- A valid driver license
Shortly after completing the online application, you will receive a notice with a date for the written exam. If you are successful in that exam, you will be promptly scheduled for a physical agility test.
