Palmdale Sheriff's Station Explorers Volunteer at Clean Up Event

On Saturday, September 12th, 2015, LASD Explorers from the Palmdale Sheriff's Station assisted with a valley-wide mattress collection event.

The event was a great success. Over 200 mattresses and box springs, which may have ended up littering our valley, were instead properly recycled because of this event.

The event was sponsored by The Antelope Valley Illegal Dumping Task Force and took place at the Los Angeles County Maintenance Yard in Lake Los Angeles. Our Explorers assisted by directing participants to the correct unloading areas, completing survey forms, and issuing gift card slips.
