Cerritos Station Deputies Arrest Burglary Suspect

On Friday, February 24, 2012, at 1:46 P.M., Cerritos Station deputies responded to 16434 Estella Avenue regarding a burglary occurring. The suspect rang the resident's doorbell twice, jumped over her fence and was breaking into the resident's attached garage. Deputies immediately contained the location. As they approached the residence, the suspect exited the garage into the backyard and tried to hide. Deputies quickly detained and arrested the suspect. The suspect, 18-year-old male resident of Los Angeles, was arrested and booked at Cerritos Station for burglary. CSO Dichter responded and processed the scene for latent prints. The investigation will be handled by Cerritos Station Detective Bureau.
