Assault Suspect Caught and Arrested

Deputies responded to an assault just occurred call in the 24000 block of Neptune Avenue in the City of Carson. They contacted the victim and discovered he had been struck on the top of his head with a golf club by the suspect, causing a severe laceration.

The suspect was seen entering a residence and deputies quickly contained the location. Deputies learned that two females were possibly inside with the suspect and in danger. Several announcements were made for the suspect to exit the location, but he did not respond. Announcements directed at the females also went unanswered.

Forced entry was made into the location and the suspect was arrested without further incident. It was discovered that the females had left the location prior to police arrival.

The suspect, identified as David Tupuola MP/45, a resident of Carson, was booked at Carson Sheriff's Station. This incident will be handled by Carson Station detectives.
