West Hollywood Sheriff Deputy and LAPD Hollywood Officer Arrest Car Burglary Suspect

8-3-12

On 08/03/12, a LASD Deputy assigned to the West Hollywood Station conducted a traffic stop on a Black Chevrolet Impala which was traveling through the city. During the traffic stop, the Deputy contacted and detained the suspects. He then identified property in the suspect's vehicle that was obtained during recent vehicle burglaries in LAPD's area.

The West Hollywood Deputy contacted LAPD officers, who responded and indicated that they had approximately six vehicle burglaries in the area of Hawthorn Avenue and Orange Drive, earlier that evening. LAPD Hollywood Officers then took custody of the suspects and the stolen property.

There has been an increase in vehicle burglaries in and around the City of West Hollywood in the weeks leading up to this arrest. These suspects are being investigated as persons of interest in those crimes.
