Burglary Suspect Captured in Stolen Car

Lancaster Deputies locate car that had been stolen in a residential burglary, driver arrested.



On Wednesday morning (10-16-12), a Lancaster Deputy was on routine patrol on Avenue J near Challenger Way when he saw a green Chevrolet Tahoe that had been reported stolen. The deputy stopped the Tahoe (which was being driven by 18 year old Duncan Nicoll) on Avenue J near 17th Street East. Suspect Nicoll was taken into custody without incident. During his investigation, the deputy learned that the Tahoe and several other items including a large screen television had been stolen from a home in the 2000 block of East Oldfield Street on Tuesday afternoon. Suspect Nicoll admitted being involved in the burglary of the home. Deputies did not locate any of the other stolen items.

Suspect Nicoll faces Burglary charges and his bail has been set at $30,000.

Lancaster Station's Burglary Suppression Team is investigating the crime.
