With the recent unfortunate events that have befallen South Facility regarding our wonderful leader, Captain Carrie Stuart, we have had the opportunity to "Keep Calm and Carrie On" with the help of another great leader, Captain Chuck Antuna. He is leading us as Interim Captain in Carrie Stuart's absence while she recovers from injuries she received in a recent car accident.
Coming to us from LA County Sheriff's Department's Inmate Reception Center, Captain Antuna brings with him a very friendly and comfortable presence.
The following is Captain Antuna's official bio:
Captain Antuna is a 32-year veteran of Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. His career with the Sheriff's Department began in 1981 as a member of the Department's Training Academy Class #208. As a Deputy Sheriff, he held assignments at Biscailuz Center, Men's Central Jail, Lynwood Station, Firestone Station, Century Station, Safe Streets Bureau and Commercial Crimes Bureau.
Captain Antuna was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2000 and was assigned to Compton Station and Personnel Administration.
He promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2006 and was assigned to Twin Towers Correctional Facility, Lennox Station and the Office of the Undersheriff as Executive Aide.
Captain Antuna holds an Associate of Arts Degree from East Los Angeles College, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Azusa Pacific University and a Masters of Arts Degree from Woodbury University.
In 2011 he was promoted to Captain and served in LA County Sheriff's Department's Inmate Reception Center.
