EBI – MCJ Blanket Project



EBI and MCJ staff met on November 27, 2013 to plan it's first, Holiday Inmate Service Project. EBI will request funding from ISB to purchase fleece material. The material will then be distributed to each MCJ MERIT inmate to create children's "No Sew" blankets. The LA Works program has also agreed to assist by purchasing and donating material to make (60) blankets. The blankets will then be donated to those in need. The goal is to allow the inmates an opportunity to work on their personal rehabilitation by engaging in an act of kindness for another. We are hoping to provide at least 500 children's blankets to the community.
