Disabled Placard/Parking Enforcement Operation

01/29/14

On January 29, 2014, deputies from the South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station/Lawndale Service Center conducted a Disabled Placard/Parking enforcement operation in the City of Lawndale. The Lawndale Deputies checked numerous locations within the city to ensure only motorists that were parked in a disabled person parking spots had an approved DMV Disabled Placard assigned to them.

The most common violation was family members using their relatives disable placard without the disabled person being present. Remember, the purpose of the disabled placard is to assist those that really need them. If you use someone else's placard it is against the law.
