New Inmate Visiting System

Fevruary 26, 2014

Carson Station is excited to announce a new web-based Inmate Visitation Scheduling System coming in early March. The new system connects visitors and inmates via the internet and will provide visitors with the following exciting features:

Visitors can select from 2 Types of Visits:

- New Video Visit

- "Traditional" Face to Face Visit

Visitors can schedule a video visit or traditional visit with an inmate up to 1 day to 7 days in advance. No more overnight stays or waiting in long lines to visit.

Visitors can still "Show Up" for unscheduled visits but will be a first come, first serve basis due to limited visiting booths. Two On-Site Kiosks are available for scheduling your next visit.

Visitors will receive an e-mail and phone message notification for cancelled visits if scheduling conflicts occur with the inmate (e.g. inmate released, moved, sick etc.) This means less unnecessary trips to the Visiting Centers.

Visitors can schedule a "remote" video visit. This allows the visitor to avoid traveling to the visiting center where the inmate is housed. Note: Available only at participating Visiting Centers (San Dimas or Lakewood Station)

HOW DO I SIGN UP? All visitors must REGISTER in the Visitation system prior to scheduling a visit or attending an unscheduled visit. Visitors must have a valid Identification (CA Drivers License) and e-mail account (e.g. xxxx@gmail.com) in order to register. To register on-line, visit us at WWW.LASD.ORG and click on the "Inmate and Jail Information" link.

PARTICIPATING VISITING CENTERS: MCJ, Twin Towers I, Twin Towers II, Lakewood Station, and San Dimas Station. Carson Station early March, 2014.
