Threatening school violence is a crime, DO NOT DO IT!!!

03/23/2015

Over the past two weeks, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has received 3 school violence threats through social media. The suspects have threatened to shoot students at Lawndale High School and two other schools in the City of Lawndale. All three suspects have been arrested. A 14 year old female, and two 16 year old males will face serious felony charges. Search warrants have been served and the cases are now with the District Attorney's Office.

The Sheriff's Department takes these threats seriously. The cost and manpower it takes to investigate these cases are great. The responsible parties could be liable for all of the costs.

Please talk to your children and let them know the seriousness of committing this crime.

The number one concern of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is the safety of your children.
