Donate Blood, Save a Life

On Wednesday March 13, 2013, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., the 7th annual "Battle of the Badges" blood drive event will take place in front of the Lawndale City Hall located at 14717 Burin Avenue, Lawndale CA, 90260.



This event, which is being hosted by the City of Lawndale in conjunction with the American Red Cross, is designed to be a friendly competition between law enforcement officers and firefighters to see which group can donate the most blood. The event is open to the public and anyone who wishes to donate blood may do so as well.



All donors will receive a free American Red Cross t-shirt, a coupon for a free appetizer at Mimi's Caf, and a coupon for complimentary admission for 2 to the Laugh Factory.



Donating blood is a meaningful and worthwhile endeavor. As stated by Lawndale Special Assignment Deputy Dean Omura, "This is a great way to help save lives."
