Treasurer Misappropriates Donated Funds From Community Club

03/05/2013

Detectives from Walnut/Diamond Bar Station filed a felony complaint with the District Attorney charging Lisa May (aka: Lisa Haygood) with six felony counts including Grand Theft and Forgery.

The charges stem from the misappropriation of funds from the Castle Rock Community Club, a non-profit organization created to raise funds and enhance opportunities for students attending Castle Rock Elementary School. The investigation revealed that club Treasurer, Lisa May, pilfered $39,651 dollars.

The theft occurred over a 6 year period and was discovered in June of 2011. Detectives have been sifting through a paper trail of bank records, checks and receipts which culminated in the case being presented to the D.A. for filing consideration.

A felony warrant was issued for her arrest and she was taken into custody on 3-5-2013.
